We had the good fortune to be deputized as "tasters" through at least 3 iterations. I loved them all, but the final one had that unique and wonderful shortbread texture, taste was lovely, and the coating on the outside was perfect.

Tried these last week. Boy, getting those crumbs on the outside was a messy challenge. At the time I thought if I make these again I will just mix them in. When I first tasted one I thought the orange was overwhelming, but then in the subsequent days these just got better and better. I'm making another batch today to send to my daughter far away, and yes, I'll be patiently rolling the crumbs on the outside, and including the orange zest. These are truly delicious cookies! Thank you Martin!
